Dunsany recorded their 2nd victory of the campaign on a bright sunny morning in Pairc na nGael last Sunday. Dunsany 1-10 Ballinlough 0-5
Dunsany started the brighter and were ahead through the shooting of Pierre Fox. He soon added a second before the visitors opened their account. The home side controlled the game for large parts of the have with Cathal Murphy adding 2 points, one from a placed ball. Ballinlough however didn't go away and former county man Peadear Byrne was showing his experience keeping his side in the game.
The pivitol score of the match game near the end of the st half when David Boyle broke through the Ballinlough defence and superbly dispatch the ball to the top right hand corner of the net. This gave the men in navy (both teams wearing alternative strips) much needed breathing space. Fox added to his tally before the break leaving the score 1-06 to 0-4.
The second half was a much slower affair. Ballinlough scored early on but it was to be their last score of the day. The Dunsany defence withstood anything the North Meath men threw at them.
Veteran Ger O'Neill entered the game at half time and helped steady the ship and slotted over two frees towards the end of the game to see it out, after Fox and Murphy had added to their accounts.
