Dunsany kicked off their 2019 season off with a very impressive showing against Intermediate champions Longwood.
On a brisk Sunday morning the home side and visitors trded early points but it was Dunsany who took the early initiative and took the leadin the 5th minute through Shane Walsh.
The men in red kept their opponents scoreless for the next 10 minutes and added points from Pierre Fox, Declan Smyth and Niall Flynn.
Fox also found the net midway through the half. Cathal Murphy would find the scoresheet before fox would add further to his tally to leave the score at the break 1-7 to 0-4 to Dunsany.
Dunsany would start the 2nd half in the same vein and pressed on their advantage with points from Murphy. Walsh would seal the came 10 minutes into the half when he broke through the Longwood defense to cooly find the corner of the net.
Alan Kelly would add to further points while fox would finish the scoring for Dunsany.
